St. Vincent Relief Donation Drive
Since April 10th St. Vincent and the Grenadines has undergone several eruptions from the La Soufriere volcano. More than 6,000 evacuees are staying in 88 government shelters and thousands of others in private shelters or homes. The island has had a large portion covered by hot ash, debris, and dust. Rivers and streams are now mud and crops and resources are devastated.
Help a Girl Out is accepting hygiene and sanitary product donations to send to the Caribbean. We have connected with the NEMO disaster management team on the island and are joining the relief efforts to help those who have been displaced by the recent volcanic activity. We’re collecting essential hygiene and period products to assist the thousands who are now living in shelters and awaiting safe return to their homes.
Our goal is to gather at least 100 packs of sanitary pads over the next 2 weeks to meet our deadline of May 8th!
